The SCSD#2 Board of Trustees held their December meeting on Monday, Dec 8.
In recognitions, Coach Jeff Mowry talked about the SHS 4A Football State Champions.
The SHS Football team has won 55 games in a row, and five state championships in a row. The team also held a 3.25 GPA, Mowry said. Several of the team attended the meeting.

Kasey Garnhart was recognized as Activities Director of the year, and SHS Principal Scott Cleland presented the award.

Garnhart then presented several WHSAA Good Sportsmanship awards, one to the entire SHS Football team; one to football player Nathan Bloom; and the entire SHS volleyball team.
In other business, the board received a clean audit from Carver Florek & James accounting firm, and Trustee Arin Waddell had this comment concerning the audit.
The board also approved several policies on first and second readings, including approving to cut the Library Bill of Rights from Policy IJL, (Library Materials Selection and Access). The Bill of Rights is a basic guide for public libraries.
Superintendent Scott Stults spoke on the library policy at SCSD#2, saying concerned parents could contact the school if they want to be notified of the books that their high school and junior high students are checking out from the school library. He said to date around 100 families have requested to be notified.
The board also approved the purchase of a compact tractor and a utility vehicle for snow removal. Facilities Director Troy Decker recommended the board approve the bids received from C&K Equipment, as they were local and it would be easier to service and repair the equipment.
