Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center Executive Director Yvonne Swanson and Assistant Director Rhonda Weber appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse inviting the public to have fun, support the Advocacy and Resource Center and celebrate healthy relationships.
Love Shouldn’t Hurt is a vital fundraiser for the Sheridan Advocacy and Resource Center. Swanson and her team support and aid victims of domestic abuse and advise victims of violent crime. They advocate for individuals who may feel they do not have a voice in the legal system.
According to Swanson, negative situations tend to gain more attention than positive ones. While Love Shouldn’t Hurt serves as the center’s primary fundraiser, the event is also designed to celebrate healthy, loving relationships. The idea for the event came to Swanson while she and Weber were attending a Sheridan County Chamber Lunch program.

The Advocacy and Resource Center’s annual fundraising event, Love Shouldn’t Hurt 2026, featuring The Fun Pianos dueling pianos and food by Shabby Shack Eatery and Catering, will be held at the Kalif Shrine Center beginning at 6 p.m. Feb. 13.
Swanson said The Fun Pianos will play, riff and entertain for three hours. At the conclusion, The Fun Pianos donate all of their tips back to the center.
