Consideration of a resolution authorizing the submission of a Mineral Royalty Capital Grant application in the amount of $710,000 for the purchase of a new fire engine for Sheridan Fire-Rescue was an item of consideration at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council business meeting. City Fleet and Administrative Coordinator Heather Czaplinski.
The City Council voted unanimously in favor of the resolution. Czaplinski said the City would be required to match 100 percent of the grant and that a quote for the new engine is approximately $1.3 million. The City will find out if they are awarded the grant following the SLIB meeting on June 18.
