A Sheridan man will spend at least the next two years in prison for stealing over $2,000 from his employer last year. Following arguments and recommendations from the defense and prosecution at a hearing Tuesday, Fourth Judicial District Court Judge Darci Phillips sentenced Robert Weber to 2 to 5 years in prison for the charge of felony theft. Weber was ordered to pay $325 in court costs and assessments and $2,072.92 in restitution to the victim. He was given 12 days of credit for time served of presentence confinement. Weber’s bond was exonerated and he was remanded to the custody of the Sheridan County Detention Center pending transfer to prison.
According to court documents, on May 14, 2025, Sheridan Police were contacted by the manager of the Good 2 Go gas station and convenience store about a deposit bag containing $2,072 that did not get deposited at the bank. An investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Weber, the employee who was responsible for making the deposit on April 20, 2025.
