The 2026 Budget Session of the Wyoming Legislature concluded on March 11 in Cheyenne. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter recently spoke with State Representative for House District 51 Laurie Bratten about the recently completed session.
The $9.9 billion biennial budget passed by the Legislature was labeled as a win for Governor Mark Gordon, as the budget came within $53 million of his proposed budget recommendation. House District 51 Representative Laurie Bratten explains the process of how the budget is crafted and ultimately approved by the Legislature.
Representative Bratten talked about the over $15 million that was included in the budget to renovate the Sheridan College Science Center.
Bratten will be in attendance at the Legislative Breakfast hosted by the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee Tuesday, March 24, at 7:30 am at the Ramada Plaza in Sheridan.
