Buffalo Police Chief Sean Bissett, in a recent report to the city council, informed them of an arrest the department made on an individual that had harassed female customers while open-carrying what appeared to be a firearm, and was ultimately allegedly found to be intoxicated.
Bissett said on the evening of Friday, March 6 the dispatch center received a hold-up alarm from the Zip Trip convenience store.
Bissett said officers began looking for the vehicle and ultimately located it and made a traffic stop in the city parking lot near downtown.
Bissett added that this was another example of “if you see something, say something,” and gave kudos to the employees at the Zip Trip.
