Leading up to the 2026 Budget Session of the Wyoming Legislature, there was a lot of discussion about dissolving the Wyoming Business Council. Lawmakers ultimately chose not to disband the economic agency. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has more.
The Wyoming Legislature agreed to fund the Wyoming Business Council for a year with the stipulation that there be some oversight into the agency. House District 51 Representative Laurie Bratten said she spoke with a number of people about the Business Council heading into the budget session.
Representative Bratten talked about how the Business Council survived the session.
