Sheridan City Councilor Greg Luhman appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse inviting the community to join a citywide cleanup event.

Residents of Wyoming’s Emerald City will have the opportunity to clean up their community and their own properties during the annual Community Cleanup and Trees for Trash events Saturday, May 2.

Participants in the landfill program will also receive a Mountain Ash seedling, provided through Sheridan Media sponsors, while supplies last.

Items containing Freon, tires and commercial waste are not eligible for the free disposal day.

In 2025, 131 volunteers across 12 teams collected approximately 0.20 tons, or 400 pounds, of waste from public areas throughout the community.

Volunteer groups are being welcomed to participate in the communitywide cleanup effort targeting public spaces and pathways. Getting a team together and joining in the effort only takes a phone call.
