School Zone Designation Discussed at Study Session

A resolution designating Mydland Road between West 5th Street and Hillpond Drive as a school zone was an item that was addressed at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council study session. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer says that currently there are three established school zones in the Sheridan High School area.

The designation of Mydland Road between West 5th Street and Hillpond Drive as a school zone means that the speed limit will be 20 miles per hour during designated school hours. The resolution designating the area will be considered by the City Council at an upcoming business meeting.
