Johnson County’s Commissioners have awarded the Commissioners’ Scholarships to three students graduating in 2026, and also named the alternate selections should the awardees not use the scholarships.
From Buffalo High School, the awardees are Shannon Kessler and James Ihnat with Kylie Kramlich named as the first alternate and Rhemy Hicks as the second alternate.
From Kaycee High School, the awardee is Joe Curuchet with no alternate named.
The scholarships are good for $500 per semester for one year, and can be used by Johnson County students at either the University of Wyoming or any of the state’s community colleges.
Commissioner’s Assistant Kristan Kenyon also announced the deadline for the Commissioners’ Second Year Scholarship.
Applicants awarded the first year scholarships are eligible for a renewal scholarship the following year.
