Red Grade Riders, IEA, coached by Mark Guynn, Lindsay Guynn, and Alexis Townsley competed May 16-17 in Bennett, Colorado at their final Western Region 8 show. In their second season of competition both the junior high and high school teams were qualified for competition as well as several individual riders. After a great week-end of competition and camaraderie the results exemplified the hard work and dedication of the riders, both individually and as a team.

Aubrey Welter – 6th Future Intermediate Horsemanship
According to IEA rules a Champion placing at a regional meet qualifies an individual or team for competition at the National IEA level. Congratulations to Hannah Harlan of the middle school team and Helen Morris on the high school team. Both ladies will travel to Fort Worth Texas to compete in their respective events at the IEA Western National Finals in conjunction with the APHA World Show in June.

Red Grade Riders is an IEA team. The Interscholastic Equestrian Association, IEA, is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to introducing and promoting lifelong involvement in equestrian athletics and supports 15,000 members across the US. IEA utilizes a unique draw-based team competition format whereby riders are not required to own their own horse or riding tack to participate providing greater affordability and access to the sport. EA Promotes youth leadership opportunities, individual and team advancement and collegiate Scholarships awarded each season.
