Brennon Weight, LaMoure, N.D., (28) won the 25-lap Wissota Midwest Modified Feature at Sheridan Speedway during the annual Sumer Showdown Friday. The top six finishers of the feature qualified for the 40-lap Summer Showdown the following night with the winner taking home $10,000. The other top six finishers, Jake Smith, St. Joseph, Minn., Troy Leiker of Gillette, Nate Reinke of Lisbon, N.D., Lucas Rodin of Marion, N.D., and Tony Leiker of Gillette qualified for the 40-lap Summer Showdown Saturday with the winner taking home $10,000. LaMoure won this caution-free feature, Troy Leiker was second. Rodin was third and Smith was fourth.
Sheridan’s Griffen Switzenberg, Chad Switzenberg and Justin Will finished 11th, 16th and 22nd in Friday’s feature. In Saturday’s feature, Griffen finished 11th, followed by Chad in 12th and Will in 16th.
Sheridan’s Dean McCalla finished 12th in the 20-lap Wissota Mod Four Feature Friday and eighth in Saturday’s 20-lapper.
