Winners Announced in Clearmont July 4 Decorating Contest

On Monday, July 6, Sandy Hirz, director of the Clearmont Historical Center, announced the winners in this year’s Fourth of July home and yard decorating contest. First place was $25; second was $15, and third place was $10, as well as bragging rights for the day.

First place winners were Gary and Cheryl Roebling, with their red and white flowers, 250 U.S. Anniversary banners, a replica windmill, and the American Flag. There was also a combination United States and Wyoming flag on display in their yard as well.

Second place went to John and Joan Kiser, with flags, banners and red, white and blue streamers.

Third place winner was Greg Rohrer, with flags, stars and Uncle Sam gracing his yard.

Hirz said, “These were way too hard to choose from!” She said that several other residents deserved top honors too.

The Clearmont Historical Group wants to thank all those who decorated their property to celebrate the United States 250 Anniversary this year.
