Several area fire departments, including Sheridan-Fire-Rescue, Ranchester, Clearmont, Goose Valley and Big Horn, responded to a grass fire near the Wyoming and Montana border on Decker Road Sunday, July 12, 2026. The fire was only accessible by private roads. A Dayton Fire Department officer said the fire’s forward process was stopped after about three hours.

At 6:53 p.m., the fire which has been named the Frisbie Fire was at 64 acres, the Watch Duty app reported.
