Night one of the candidate forums at the WYO Theater in downtown Sheridan Monday night featured candidates for Sheridan City Council, County Commissioners and other county positions, contested and uncontested. The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee hosts candidate forums during election years to give the public an opportunity to learn more about the candidates hoping to represent them at local levels of government. Night two of the Chamber’s candidate forums is scheduled for 6 to 8 pm tonight at the WYO Theater and it will feature all of the state races, including among others, governor, superintendent of public instruction and secretary of state. The forum will also include candidates for U.S. Senate. On Thursday, the Chamber will host a candidate forum at the Tongue River Valley Community Center in Dayton beginning at 6 pm. On August 4, the U.S. House Republican Primary Candidates debate will take place at Sheridan College beginning at 7 pm.
