A Casper woman will serve more than 12 years in federal prison for her role as a distributor in a multi-county drug trafficking ring in Wyoming and Colorado. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl recently sentenced 33-year-old Alysha Ann Dahl of Casper to serve 151 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. According to federal court documents, the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security Investigations and multiple state and local agencies, investigated a drug trafficking organization operating in Wyoming and Colorado.
Law enforcement arrested Dahl November 10, 2025, after a search of the vehicle she was traveling in yielded nearly half a pound of methamphetamine. Agents determined Dahl distributed more than 11 pounds of methamphetamine during the conspiracy. Dahl waived indictment and pleaded guilty on May 19, 2026. Dahl provided a factual basis in support of her guilty plea in which she admitted that on or about October 17, 2025, she was within the District of Wyoming when she knowingly and intentionally possessed 500 grams or more of a mixture containing methamphetamine. She knew the substance was methamphetamine, and she intended to unlawfully distribute it to others throughout the state.
