SCLT Executive Director Provides Update to City Officials

The executive director of one of the nonprofit agencies that receive funding from the City of Sheridan General Purpose Excise Tax program recently provided an update to the City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

SCLT Executive Director Provides Update to City Officials

Each year the City of Sheridan accepts applications for funding through the General Purpose Excise Tax program. The City this year received 20 applications for GPET funds from various local nonprofits and government agencies. The City Council in March approved 18 GPET service agreements for a total of $503,500.

One of the recipients of those funds was the Sheridan Community Land Trust, who received $25,000. SCLT Executive Director Brad Bauer.

Bauer said the three trail systems that are close to town get used frequently by the public.

Bauer said aside from recreation, other focus areas are history and historic preservation, community programs and conservation. Click here to learn more about SCLT.
