New permanent exhibits are scheduled to be installed in the Museum at the Bighorns in January, and a design team from Cheyenne are working on renderings for the exhibits.
Exhibits will include a modular set of mountain-inspired shapes with historical information including peak names in several tribal languages, along with some history of the many outdoor activities that have been and continue to be enjoyed in the Bighorns, according to Chip King, Director of Operations for the museum.
King was a recent guest on our talk show Public Pulse, and he spoke more about the design firm and the new exhibits to be installed at the first of the year.
King also said the space for the museum’s rotating exhibits will be built during this time, with the first rotating exhibit being a celebration of 100 years of Whitney Benefits.
Free admission will continue at the museum through August 31, through support from the Homer A. and Mildred S. Scott Foundation.
