All three school districts in Sheridan County have started their fall semester. This means that motorists can expect to see more students out and about going to and from school. During a recent appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Sheridan County Undersheriff Doug Sanders wanted to remind the public to be aware of the influx of students that is a product of the start of another school year.

Sanders addressed speeding in a school zone.

Sanders said that the Sheriff’s Office recently received a new device called a Jamar that is a speed and counting unit. We’ll hear more about Jamar and how the Sheriff’s Office is using the traffic data collecting technology in a future story.
