A large crowd attended the opening reception for biennial invitational Small Works Show at The Brinton Museum on September 25.
Kaily Carson, Assistant Curator of Exhibitions and Collections, talked about how long the Brinton has been hosting the small works show.
The show will continue through December 21, 2026, and all the artwork displayed is for sale.
“This is specifically a sale show,” Carson said. “The point of keeping them small is to keep the price range a little bit lower.” She added that it is generally a pretty good show and a lot of artwork sells.
There are many different mediums represented at the show, Carson added.
“It’s been so great to see all the variety and get to know more artists,” Carson said.
The show this year brings together 62 established and emerging artists from Wyoming and across the Rocky Mountain West. Each artist can submit up to three artworks, and this year’s show has over 150 works of art. Several local artists were at the reception to chat with the public.
Following the opening reception, available works will also be offered online through The Brinton Museum Store, providing collectors near and far an opportunity to purchase original artwork from the exhibition.
