Jo Co Commission Approves Coroner’s Recommendation for Deputy

Johnson County Coroner Shawn Sullivan came before the county commission this week to ask for their approval on his recommendation for deputy coroner.

Sullivan named his choice for the position.

According to Sullivan, Buckingham will have a set salary, which was not disclosed, but did say it will be a higher salary that what she has now.

The plan is to use the next year as essentially a probation period to see how the new position fits her, but he doesn’t expect there to be any issues.

The commission voted to approve the Contract for Services between the county and Kelly Buckingham for the deputy coroner position.
