Johnson County Healthcare Center’s Amie Holt Care Center Administrator JoAnn Kay, in her report to the hospital board at their last meeting, said the facility is “doing great,” and talked about some upcoming things that will be happening there.

In her written report, Kay said the care center’s census for September was 39 residents out of a licensed bed capacity of 44.

The average daily census year-to-date is about 38 residents each month during 2026, translating to an occupancy average of 86.6%.

The facility’s average length of stay for residents is 742 days
