Eleven of the 22 saloon licenses in Sheridan expired at midnight. All have been officially renewed by the council, and the new licenses will be issued as soon as the applicants pay the $1,300 exacted for the license year.

It seemed as if every steam whistle in Sheridan broke out into a concert welcoming the new year promptly at midnight. The concert lasted for 10 minutes.

F.C. Davis and A.C. Marquess of Big Horn were in Sheridan to greet the new year.

Some of the threshermen in Sheridan county have failed to report their threshing operations as required by law. The county agent says at least half of them are delinquent in reporting.
