Sheridan police made 13 arrests last month compared to 59 during August of 1918. This indicates the part that booze had in swelling the number of misdemeanors and crimes in this community.

Walter Bates Jr. has arrived in Sheridan from 15 months’ service in France. He was discharged at Camp Dodge on Aug. 15 and since that time has been visiting with his parents in Kansas City.

Women’s and misses new gowns and dresses are arriving daily at Reed’s. Prices are from $12.50 to $75.
