The Johnson County School District Board of Trustees, at their last meeting, considered renewing an existing transportation agreement with Sheridan County School District 3 for the 2026-27 school year.
The agreement allows JCSD1 to operate a school bus route that enters into SCSD3 to deliver students from Johnson County that wish to attend the Arvada-Clearmont School.
According to the agreement, 19 students residing in JCSD1’s District are currently enrolled in and attending the SCSD3 school.
According to discussion at the meeting, the agreement between the two school districts has been in place and renewed for 30-plus years.
After some discussion, the board voted to approve the transportation agreement.
