Although the strike of Wyoming miners has been called off, the miners in the Sheridan coal field have not re-entered the mines.

The net result for the third roll call for the Sheridan county chapter of the Red Cross to date is a membership of just under 2,100 and a total of just over $3,500 raised. That’s less than one-third of the amount required to finance the work of the local chapter during the coming year.

Joseph Horsley, a dairyman on upper Prairie Dog creek, has purchased the fine Holstein herd of George Levi Smith.
