The Sheridan Commercial Club has arranged a big free program, including a band concert, athletic carnival, slight-of-hand features and community singing, at the armory tonight as part of the Optimist Week observance here. Joe M. Williams of Sheridan and Dan Allen of Acme miraculously escaped from death this morning when the Dodge truck of Bob’s Furniture Store of Sheridan, in which they were riding was struck and totally demolished by the Burlington passenger Train 42 at the railroad crossing just north of the company’s depot in Dietz.
