A Look Back in Time: Oct. 2, 1916

The month of September, just ended, was the driest since 1904, according to the records of the local weather bureau. The total precipitation was just over half an inch, a deficiency of nearly an inch from normal.

Supervisor A.G. Stockwell, of the Big Horn national forest, who has recently been in the Bald Mountain country, phoned to Sheridan today to report a heavy fall of snow there. He says travel is very difficult, and he expects traffic across the main range of the Big Horns to be absolutely stopped by snow before the end of this month.

The recent sale at W.J. Barker’s in Parkman was well attended, and satisfactory prices were received for everything offered.
