Barrasso: The Geopolitical Importance of U.S. Energy Dominance Cannot Be Overstated

U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, recently spoke at a full committee hearing to examine the use of energy as a tool and a weapon, and ensuring energy security for the United States and its allies. Barrasso said President Biden inherited an energy dominant American and has spent the last year squandering it.

Barrass said last year the U.S. imported nearly 700,000 barrels of Russian oil each and every day. Barrasso closed his remarks by saying America is the world’s energy superpower – it’s time once again we started acting like it.
