The Johnson County Commission received an update on what’s been going on with the 4-H program through the University of Wyoming’s Extension Office.
Bryce McKenzie, 4-H/Youth Development Extension Educator, said with the 4-H new year happening the first of October, he wanted to give some positive information on the program.
There are 326 active kids and 83 adult volunteers in the program.
They will be participating in the NILE, or Northern International Livestock Exposition where they took second place last year. He hopes to compete for first place this year.
He spoke about the good showing by the kids at this year’s State Fair.
McKenzie said Agriculture & Natural Resources Extension Educator Micah Most had also been busy and he updated the commission as well.
We will have his update in a future story.
