Helping with the cost of spay and neutering pets

October 28, 2022

News – Sheridan Media

The Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter operates a spay and neuter certificate program for those who qualify.

In an effort to reduce the number of animals without homes in Sheridan County this program is aimed at helping households that earn under $35,000 a year spay and neuter their pets.

According to Dog and Cat Shelter Executive Director AJ Evans, it is a good idea to inform the veterinarian that a certificate is going to be used to assist in payment and recipients should bring that certificate with them to the appointment. Certificate holders will have 60 days to use the certificate from the date it is issued.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Evans tolds listeners that cost is still dependent on a few factors.
