The Sheridan County Coroner’s Office located at 1604 N. Main St. in Sheridan is considered the largest project and newest innovation in the county for the 2023 year according to the Sheridan County Commissioners.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan County Commission Chair Christi Haswell and Commissioner Nick Siddle discussed this past year’s projects around the county.
Siddle told listeners that the new coroner’s office will save the county funds. The closest coroner’s office before the new construction is located in Billings, MT.

According to Siddle, with the opening of the new office4 the commission hopes to not only help shorten the distance for other counties to perform proper autopsies but perhaps utilize the office to generate revenue in the future.

Located next to the Sheridan Police Department and Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, the new building features an expanded prep room, garage, cooler space and administrative space.
