At the February 12 study session of the Sheridan City Council, Councilman Shawn Day announced that he would be resigning from the Council due to a recent move outside of city limits. Day’s term runs through the end of this year. The City received eight applications from residents looking to fill the vacant seat. During a study session Monday night, the Council interviewed the eight applicants by asking each of them a series of five questions. Each of the five questions were the same for each applicant. Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger said Monday night one of the applicants will be chosen to fill the vacancy.
