First reading of an ordinance converting the responsibilities of the Board of Appeals to the Board of Adjustments was an item that was considered by the Sheridan City Council at their most recent business meeting. Former City Attorney Brendon Kerns addressed the Mayor and Council on the proposed ordinance.

Kerns pointed out one of the major cons of converting the responsibilities from one board to the other.

First reading of the ordinance to convert the responsibilities from the Board of Appeals to the Board of Adjustments was approved unanimously by the City Council. The ordinance requires two more readings by the Council before it takes effect.
