U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) joined Senator JD Vance of Ohio in introducing legislation to eliminate the diversity, equity and inclusion or DEI programs in the federal government. According to information from Senator Lummis’ office, the bill is aimed at protecting Wyoming’s tax payer’s dollars against woke spending priorities.

Lummis said DEI programs are not about promoting fairness, they are about exacerbating discourse and worsening racial biases, and there is no place for these divisive initiatives in the federal government.

The Dismantle DEI act would eliminate DEI programs within the federal government and rescind President Biden’s executive orders regarding DEI by outlawing mandatory employee DEI pledges, ending DEI training, and preventing educational accreditation agencies from leveraging their position to push DEI policies in education institutions.
