The Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter has selected a new operations manager, Hannah Edwards.
Edwards started working at the shelter approximately two years ago. While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, she said it was passion for animals that led her to her first position as front desk manager.

In her former position, as front desk manager, Edwards learned the policies and procedures required on the administrative side of the day-to-day operations. Now, as the operations manager she has taken on more personnel management.

Edwards has taken the operations reins during a difficult time at the shelter. As shelters fill to capacity across the nation, Sheridan has not evaded the pet population problem. The shelter reports that all the dog kennels are full, excluding space required by the City of Sheridan for stray turn-ins.
According to founder and operator of the Unleashed Foundation, Marian Eccles, the shelter has a turn-in list containing over twenty names of Sheridan County residents looking to surrender their pet to the facility.
