WYDOT Buffalo Main Street Project Update for April 14

April 14, 2025

News – Sheridan Media

The Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Buffalo Main Street Project is progressing, according to a release from WYDOT.

As of Friday, downtown Main Street is open from Fort Street to the north side of the Clear Creek Bridge.

Motorists should watch for lane closures and flagging operations between Fetterman and Angus Streets and between Fort and Holland Streets.

West Fetterman and West Angus Streets are closed at this time.

Utility work from the north side of Fort Street to Holland Street has begun and motorists should expect traffic switches for the next few eeks until work is past Trail Street.

The traffic signal at Fort Street will flash red for the next few weeks.

Watch for flagging operations with head-to-head traffic at the intersection during the day, and the flashing red light with head-to-head traffic at night.

Motorists are asked to proceed through the intersection with caution as the turning radius will be tight.

Drivers will encounter unimproved surfaces throughout the work zones until paving starts, which is scheduled for early May.

Residents and businesses along Main Street will be notified 48 hours prior to any water shut-downs.

Questions or comments on the project can be directed to Laura Dalles, Senior Public Relations Specialist with WYDOT District 4 at (307) 752-3022 or at laura.dalles@wyo.gov.
