City of Sheridan officials recently renewed an agreement with the Sheridan Recreation District. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The Sheridan Recreation District was established in 1974 and historically, the City and Rec. District have entered into multiple contracts and extensions regarding the operation of City facilities. The City Council recently approved a five-year operating agreement with the Rec. District. City Parks Director Steve Gage.
Gage said the two minor changes from the last five-year agreement are the removal of Black Tooth Park from the list of areas to be maintained by the Recreation District and the establishment of current Asset Management Maintenance Standards recommended by the 2019 Park Facilities, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan. The five-year operating agreement will go into effect July 1.
