Grace Cannon-Wallace of WYO PLAY, Tom Hebert of the Natural History Museum of Wyoming, and Eric Comstock from Science Kids appeared on Public Pulse to talk about the upcoming debut of an original production that teaches kids about dinosaurs, sibling bonds and the challenges of growing up.

Dinosaur Rock Musical: A Jukebox Journey Through Time is a story of siblings Ella and Thea as they face the challenges of growing up. A magical journey into a dinosaur-filled realm helps them rediscover their bond and embrace their love of the prehistoric past.

Cannon-Wallace said the process allowed her husband, Ian, to use a collection he had been creating since he was a child.

Performers in the production will include the Young Theatre Makers Ensemble, a WYO PLAY program featuring local middle and high school theater artists.

Hebert will bring fossils from the Natural History Museum of Wyoming that children can see and touch, creating a connection for children that will span millions of years.

Comstock from Science Kids will bring a display that teaches children how much time has passed from the age of the great thunder lizards to the present moment.

The lobby will be full of interactive learning experiences for children intended to create strong memories of dinosaurs and the benefits of engaging in science within the world around them.

Cannon-Wallace suggests arriving early to take part in the fun activities in the lobby and then enjoy the production.

Showtimes are 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center. Tickets are $9 for children 12 and younger, $12 for students, and $16 for adults.
