WYDOT Buffalo Main Street Update for October 1

October 1, 2025

News – Sheridan Media

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has issued the latest update on the Buffalo Main Street project as of October 1.

On North Main Street from Fort Street to Hart Street, paving is scheduled to be completed by the end of this week.

Watch for lane closures, flagging operations, short wait times, and heavy truck traffic.

Motorists should consider taking alternate routes.

Once paving and the wearing course is completed, striping of the entire project will commence, hopefully by the end of the week.

Work still needing to be completed includes concrete sidewalks and ADA-compliant work, and the tie-in of the water line at Hart Street.

On South Main Street, the Cemetery Creek culvert area, has been tabbed and is ready for striping, which is scheduled for early October.

Most devices have been removed.

Work still needing to be completed includes shoulder work, and back-filling and seeding.

Soil, rock, and other debris at the bypass intersection will be removed and the area will be reclaimed.
