At the recent Johnson County School Board meeting, Facilities Director John Zink was asked about the meeting he had with the State Facilities Commission concerning facilities within the district.
He explained what happened.
He also submitted his written report, highlighting the list of facilities projects he is currently working on.
List of current projects:
BHS VAV Controls (everything downstream of units 1,3 & 4 including test and balancing) – Pressure sensors are being installed in 67 VAV boxes.
SEE’s Room Remodels at MDLK, CCMS & CPES – Project is complete.
Kaycee HVAC Component Project – Design is under way, roughly 65%. I have a meeting with the State and EDA on November 20th to review.
Lighting & Sound in BHS Auditorium – The new speakers are in and the sound is awesome. Work continues on the lighting. We are needing to run new wire to the controller as the wireless boxes are shot. The lights in front of the stage are working, but the lights in the back stage are not. The contractor is also working on the microphone interference, as well.
BHS RTU-3 – The heat exchanger has failed inside the unit. Right now I am weighing all my options to repair this unit.
Others:
Working on getting the new ID badges/access fobs made and distributed to staff.
Winter maintenance on all the mowing equipment is under way, and getting snow removal equipment ready to roll.
We were able to blow out all the irrigation without any major problems.
