The Natural History Museum of Wyoming is inviting the community to its first Night of Discovery Gala on Monday, Dec. 1, at the Ramada Convention Center.

Executive Director of the Natural History Museum of Wyoming Inc., Thomas Hebert, made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse and invited the community to take part in this fundraiser.

Beginning at 5 p.m. and the Gala will feature entertainment, guest speakers and a live auction supporting the museum’s education and research programs.

The gala will include musical performances by Tris and Sam Munsick and feature remarks from retired Lt. Col. Stephen Davis, along with youth advocate Kash Hancock.

Hebert said funds raised during the evening will support core museum programs, including the Kids Dinosaur Digs, the Women in Science initiative and the Veterans Dino Digs, which together require more than $135,000 annually to operate.

A dynamic live auction will highlight the night, offering attendees a chance to name one of the museum’s newly discovered dinosaurs, bid on a private dinosaur dig experience and compete for a four day trip to Maui. Event staff said the proceeds from these items will directly support the museum’s educational outreach, field research and public programming efforts.

Tickets for the gala include dinner and an open bar. Tickets are $125 from Nov. 17, through Nov. 30, and will be $150 at the door.
