UW to Host Wyoming Open Science Data Summit Jan. 13-14

The University of Wyoming will host the Wyoming Open Science Data Summit bringing together researchers, educators, data professionals and policymakers to advance an open, collaborative and artificial intelligence ready future for the Cowboy State. 

The summit is scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, through 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the UW Conference Center connected to the Hilton Garden Inn at 2221 E. Grand Ave. A full agenda and registration information are available online by clicking here.

UW reports the summit is supported by the Wyoming Innovation Partnership DataHub Initiative, and is designed to build a sustained community of practice and a statewide center of influence for open science standards, governance and capacity.

According to UW, organizers are saying the event will focus on strengthening how research data is managed and shared across Wyoming institutions. The goal of the summit is to better position the state for data driven research, innovation and policy development.
