H.C. Stevens has been re-elected, and J.D. Gillespie elected to a first term as members of the School District 7 board.

Elections were held yesterday at the district’s annual meeting.

J.C. Manlove of Ranchester claims the honor of having the first sugar beets in the Sheridan district. He said the first plants came up through the ground at 6:37 Sunday morning. He credits continual rainfall with the success of the crop. He said moisture had penetrated the ground to a depth of 15 inches.

W.E. Gollings went to Spear ranch near Clearmont this afternoon. He plans to stay there about a week.
