During their regular meeting this week, the Buffalo City Council set the mill levy for fiscal year 2026-27.
Mayor Shane Schrader read the Resolution.
According to an earlier Sheridan Media story, property taxes collected by the county are distributed to the city and town governments through the requested mill levies.
Municipal governments are allowed up to eight mills by the State of Wyoming to fund their operations.
The majority of funding the city receives for annual operations comes from sales taxes.
