The Sheridan City Council met for their first regular business meeting of July Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The last Master Fee Schedule the City Council approved was in July of 2023. City staff have evaluated the schedule to ensure that fees remain accurate, transparent, and reflective of current operations. The fee schedule review included an assessment of current resolutions dating back to 1994, evaluation of related code language, review of departmental fee practices, and verification of fees currently administered by the City.
The City Council Monday night approved the Fiscal Year 2027 Master Fee Schedule for the City. Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger says staff’s focus was not on generating new revenue, but rather on creating a complete, accurate, and user-friendly inventory of City fees.
Mayor Bridger said the Master Fee Schedule that was adopted by the Council is more comprehensive and accessible and will better serve residents, applicants, businesses, and City staff.
