An arraignment was held for a Sheridan County man Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
At approximately 1:50 pm on July 1, deputies with the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to My Buddy’s Place for an assault in progress. Once on scene, law enforcement determined that 53-year-old Heath Ragsdale had physically assaulted Ross Terrone and damaged his vehicle in the parking lot of the bar. According to court documents, Terrone was in his car talking to a friend in the parking lot, when Ragsdale came out of the bar and allegedly wanted to fight Terrone for his vehicle. Ragsdale, during the alleged assault of Terrone, caused over $4,000 to the vehicle.
Ragsdale, at Tuesday’s arraignment hearing in District Court, pleaded not guilty to one count of felony property destruction and one count of misdemeanor battery. District Court Judge Darci Phillips scheduled a three-day jury trial to begin on January 25, 2027. A pretrial conference is slated for January 5 at 9 am. Ragsdale’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Sheridan County Circuit Court. Felony property destruction is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. Misdemeanor battery is punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $750.
