Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 17, 1915.

Swan Grocery Co. is now receiving daily full boxes of fancy home-grown strawberries. The berries are just 20 cents for a full quart box, $4 for a crate of 24 quarts. Call 28 to place your order.

Twenty-four of Sheridan’s progressive business firms have engaged to conduct one of their famous pony campaigns. Any boy or girl age 16 or younger can register at any of the 24 businesses, and each Pony Store where you register will give you 1,000 votes. At the end of the campaign, some boy or girl will receive, absolutely free, an elegant pony outfit consisting of a fine Shetland pony, buggy and harness. A number of Elgin watches also will be given away.
