Work could start soon in 2 different ways in regards to Phase II of the Sheridan Hi-Tech Business Park.
The Sheridan Economic Development and Education Authority (SEEDA) has opened up bidding to add 5-foot gravel shoulders on Yellowtail Drive, from the Weatherby building northward to an area near the Agripark.
The bid closes on November 6th, but that part of the project still needs city council approval, before the contract can be awarded and work can begin.
Administrator Robert Briggs says SEEDA is also trying to get council approval on another project to get park development moving along.
“The part that’s up to bid is just the Yellowtail Drive improvements for the widening of Yellowtail Drive and then following the approval by the planning commission and city council in addition to those improvements, which we’re hoping will meet any requirements that they have for off-site improvements to Yellowtail Drive, we will additionally be bidding all of the infrastructure for the water, sewer and roadway to serve the subdivision.”
The Council recently approved the creation of a full time position within SEEDA to help run operations.
Briggs says he anticipates having that position filled sometime after the 1st of the New Year.
