Defendant Fails to Show for Sentencing Hearing
A defendant that was supposed to be sentenced in District Court Thursday failed to show for the hearing. Levi Reed’s Defense Attorney District Court Judge John Fenn revoked Reed’s bond and a bench warrant will be issued for his arrest once the proper paperwork has been filed by the prosecution.
In August, a plea agreement was reached between both parties that recommends Reed be sentenced to 3 to 5 years in prison for the charge of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine, suspended, in lieu of three years of supervised probation. For the charge of Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance- Cocaine, the plea deal recommends 120 days in jail suspended in favor of one-year of supervised probation to run concurrent to the probation for the felony charge. Reed was arrested on March 11 while parked in a vehicle at the Sheridan Visitor’s Center.
